La Liga have announced the date and time of the next El Clasico of the season. Matchday 26 will see Barcelona host Real Madrid at the Camp Nou, in the third El Clasico of 22/23.
The first meeting between the two rivals in the league saw Real Madrid emerge as comfortable winners. But, it was the opposite outcome when the two met in Saudi Arabia. Barcelona defeated Madrid in the finals of the Supercopa de Espana to win their first trophy under Xavi Hernandez.
El Clasico 22/23 date and time revealed
The second El Clasico of the year will be played on March 19, at 2100 local time.
Barcelona have established a comfortable lead over the defending champions of Spain in the table. As things stand, they are at the top of the table with eight points more than Real Madrid who are second placed.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side have struggled to get consistent wins following the World Cup break, and have slipped up on several occasions. Barcelona, on the other hand, have maintained their consistency and have only conceded 7 goals from 22 games this season.
Their remarkable defence has been one of the main reasons behind their performance this season. And it now remains to be seen whether they can shut out their rivals one more time, or whether Real Madrid will be able to reduce the deficit in a few weeks’ time.
