As we all know Redmi A1 is a very popular entry-level smartphone across the globe, so its successor Redmi A2 is launching soon and though we have heard about it a lot, now it’s time to see the actual smartphone. Thanks to WinFuture, the new Redmi A2 is leaked in all its glory along with actual design, specs and a lot more.
All You Need to Know about the Redmi A2
Well, don’t be disheartened a lot to see this new successor be a look-alike of its best-selling predecessor, because the design was only introduced last year. Being still functional and decent looking, keeping the same design as the Redmi A1 makes sense for Xiaomi to keep costs down, this Redmi A2 was previously spotted on BIS certification as well.
Expect the same waterdrop notch screen and a dual camera setup at the rear end along with exciting colors. However, there will be an upgrade in terms of chipset, i.e. you will get a new Helio G36 chipset instead, however, the rest of the specs remains the same as its predecessor.
So, expect the same 6.52-inch IPS HD+ LCD display on the top paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage, which will be expandable. Also, like the Redmi A1, you will have dual 8MP cameras on the rear end and hopefully the same 5MP front camera for quick selfies.
Coming to the OS, you will now get Android 13 (Go Edition) along with dual 4G support. Redmi will still retain a 5000 mAh large battery with a 10W in-box charger that actually helps a lot when you are buying an entry-level smartphone. Also, the upcoming Redmi A2 will be available in the same color variants: Black, Light Blue and Light Green, launch is expected very soon.
