Cirkus, Ranveer Singh’s new movie is now streaming on Netflix

Cirkus, Ranveer Singh‘s new movie is all set to release on Netflix. Rohit Shetty’s one of the much-awaited releases of 2022, is now streaming on the OTT giant named Netflix, although the movie does not receive much success at the box office. It starts streaming on Netflix and from yesterday i.e., 17th February 2023.

Cirkus is a movie that seems to be inspired by William Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors, which revolves around two sets of identical twins who were accidentally separated at birth. Ranveer plays a double role for the first time in his career in the movie ‘Cirkus’.

The movie stars Ranveer Singh besides Ranveer, it also stars Varun Sharma, Pooja Hegde, and Jacqueline Fernandez. By taking to Instagram, Netflix has made an announcement regarding its OTT release that reads, “An ELECTRIC invite to come and witness 2x comedy, 2x confusion and 2x drama #Cirkus comes to Netflix tomorrow!.”

The movie was released in theatres on 23rd December 2022. The movie has gained mixed reviews from critics and audiences and eventually became one of the biggest commercial failures of 2022. According to reports, the film which was made with a budget of Rs. 150 crores, minted only about Rs. 57 crores worldwide. 

Shetty had opened up about the failure of the film and had shared how his team had gone through a lot in the next few weeks after Cirkus was released. He wrote on Instagram, “From Cirkus to my accident on set, my team and I have gone through a lot in the last few weeks! WE RISE, WE FALL, BUT WE RISE AGAIN NOT JUST TO FIGHT THE BATTLE, BUT TO WIN IT!!! Shooting the last schedule of INDIAN POLICE FORCE in HYDERABAD before we commence the pre-production of SINGHAM AGAIN.”
