Manchester United have received as many as ten proposals to take Anthony Elanga on loan. Among the clubs interested in signing the youngster are Borussia Dortmund and PSV Eindhoven.
However, no decision has been made as of yet about where he will be playing for the remainder of the season. The club will make their call within the coming 48 hours about whether they will let him go and get more playing time or stay with the first team.
Anthony Elanga loan decision to be made very soon
Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick last season, the young Swede made 20 starts. And this year under Erik Ten Hag, he has only made seven, and hasn’t been given many opportunities off the bench either.
The Dutchman has mostly stuck to Antony and Marcus Rashford on the wings. Alejandro Garnacho has emerged as the preferred impact substitute for Ten Hag this year, with Anthony Elanga falling down the pecking order.
And the lack of game time could end up hampering his development at this stage. As a result, a move away for better opportunities could help him become a better player.
PSV have sold Noni Madueke and Cody Gakpo this winter, and could use reinforcement on the wings. Here, Elanga could prove to be a valuable addition for the Dutch side, who will be without two very important players for the second half of the season.
