AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs are being sold with a major price cut by retailers

AMD Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPU prices continue to fall, with some “X” SKUs falling even lower than their Non-X counterparts. While AM5 platform prices remain high, AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU prices are falling across a variety of retailers.

US-based retailers such as Microcenter, Amazon, and Newegg have some really nice deals to entice users to upgrade from their older AM4 platform, and these may also appear to be a push to clear out more Ryzen 7000 stock before the launch of the X3D parts, which feature enhanced gaming performance.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X starts at $587.89 USD, Ryzen 9 7900X starts at $417.98 USD, Ryzen 7 7700X starts at $342.98 USD, and Ryzen 5 7600X starts at $243.98 USD

The best part about these Microcenter deals is that you will receive a free 32 GB DDR5-6000 kit (as has been the case since the launch of these CPUs at Micro Center) as well as a free copy of Star Wars Jedi Survivor. Both of these are worth approximately $250 USD.

AMD is offering around $10 US off its Ryzen 7000 Non-X CPUs, but the retailer will further reduce the price by $20 US when purchasing a compatible AM5 motherboard. So you’re also saving $30 USD. The AMD Ryzen 9 7900X is less expensive than its non-X sibling, the Ryzen 9 7900. The Non-X parts include a bundled Wraith Prism heatsink, so you save money by not purchasing a separate cooler for these chips.

There have also been reports that AMD is reducing standard chip production capacity and shifting it to the next-generation Ryzen 7000 3D family, which will be available next month. Given the significant increase in gaming performance that the 3D V-Cache Zen 4 chips will provide, gamers and enthusiasts are likely to renew their interest in the AM5 platforms.
