The midfielder was born in Hautrage, Belgium and can also represent them. But, he has decided to represent Morocco at the international level instead. Interestingly, he has spent his entire club career in Belgium.

Selim Amallah featured for Mouscron across two spells, as well as Tubize before joining Standard Liege in 2019. This season, he has made nine Jupiler Pro League appearances, scoring four goals and providing one assist.

His contract with Liege runs out in the summer, and Valladolid are negotiating the transfer early instead of waiting to sign him as a free agent. It now remains to be seen whether he can make a difference in their fight to survive in the Spanish top flight. Real Valladolid are in 17th place, but are only a point from safety.
