Chelsea have seemingly hijacked the transfer for Shakhtar Donetsk star Mykhaylo Mudryk. Arsenal handed in a formal offer to the Ukrainian club to sign their longstanding target.

But, they did not get a green light since their offer was €70 million plus €25 million in add-ons. Chelsea’s offer was worth €100 million, and has received the go-ahead. They are planning a seven-year contract for the youngster, which will be valid until 2030.

Where will Mykhaylo Mudryk end up playing next?

The forward has been quite visible on social media about his desire to move to Arsenal. He had already agreed personal terms over the move, but it was essential that the two clubs reached an agreement for the move to go through.

According to several sources now, Mykhaylo Mudryk is on a flight to London. And he will seemingly end up signing for Chelsea after being most strongly linked with Arsenal for the latter half of 2022. He is expected to complete the medical assessment for the move very soon, and the West London club are hopeful of getting the deal over the line this weekend itself.

Arsenal are not planning to change their bid after the attempted hijack from their rivals. And it will be interesting to see which London club he ends up signing for, since he is already expected to be in the city soon.
