Avatar: The Way of Water is a long waited sequel to Avatar. It is going to release this weekend, directed by James Cameron. Avatar was first released in 2009 that has become a blockbuster hit and has amazed us with the world of Pandora. It has also become the highest-grossing movie in history, grossing around 2.923 billion dollars worldwide.

“Avatar: The Way of Water” takes place more than a decade after the events of the first film, which had an open ending.

In this new sequel, we will get to know what will happen to the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their children), the problems they face, and everything they must do to stay safe.

Avatar: The Way of Water stars Sam Worthington, he will reprise his role as Jake Sully, who was part of the Avatar Program and left his human body to become a Na’vi, after falling in love with Neytiri. Zoe Saldana is also coming back as Neytiri, a senior member of the Na’vi and daughter of the clan’s former chief. She is Jake’s partner.

Sigourney Weaver played Dr. Grace Augustine in the first film, a character who died after supporting the Na’vi. Now, she is the one who gives life to Kiri, Jake, and Neytiri’s adopted teenage daughter.

Meanwhile, Stephen Lang played Colonel Miles Quaritch, who died in the final battle of Pandora. However, the human who led the colonization of these lands has been brought back to life by the RDA by becoming a recombinant, a Na’vi Avatar embedded with the memories of a soldier. He is the main antagonist of the film.

Kate Winslet will play Ronal, a Metkayina freediver and wife of Tonowari, and her character will be vital in the film. Many other stars who will be seen in this movie are Joel David Moore as Dr. Norm Spellman CCH Pounder as Mo’at, Jamie Flatters as Neteyam, Britain Dalton as Lo’ak, Trinity Bliss as Tuktirey, and many more.

Release Date and Running Time

“Avatar: The Way of Water” is going to release in theaters on 16th December 2022. The film has a running time of 190 minutes, or 3 hours and 10 minutes. This sequel seems to beat the previous sequel’s running time by 28 minutes.
