At The 2022 Game Awards, Skydance Interactive revealed a new cinematic video for their next game, Behemoth. The trailer provided players with their first good look at the game since its introduction trailer in October.
The VR adventure requires players to navigate the ruins of a once-great kingdom utilizing unconventional travel means such as a grappling hook. Set immediately after a pandemic has decimated the earth, the game pits players against massive monsters known as Behemoths. Due to the scale of their opponents, players must traverse not just the landscape, but also the huge enemies that roam the wildness.
“We’ve learned a lot over the years about the unique challenges and strengths of VR,” Skydance creative director Todd Adamson, said in a recent press release. “Behemoth is the culmination of a decade of work, and is crafted for gamers that want a deep, all-encompassing experience that is specifically tailored to the medium.”
Behemoth, led by the team that delivered gamers The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, is planned to release in Fall 2023 for Meta Quest 2, PSVR 2, and PC VR. The official Behemoth website has further information.
