ISL 2022-23: Hyderabad FC wins 2-0 against East Bengal

Hyderabad FC kept their unbeaten record against East Bengal complete after a 2- 0 palm in the Indian Super League( ISL) at the G.M.C. Balayogi Athletic Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday. Mohammad Yasir scored the opening thing of the match in the 38th before cover piled the pressure in the 85th minute of the game.

Hyderabad FC contended the same XI that won last week against Chennaiyin FC. East Bengal were forced into making one change that saw Sarthak Golui miss the game due to a bottom injury, as Ankit Mukherjee came in to replace him.

Thongkhosiem Haokip nearly gave East Bengal perfect launch. Inside the first, Naorem Singh whipped a ball in from the left into Haokip, who had made a brilliant unmarked run into the box. The striker tried his stylish to bring it down, but the delivery was a laddie too heavy, and it came off the tip of Haokip’s charge and went out of play.

The Spaniard’s trouble sailed over the bar.

Twinkles after he was denied a thing by a splendid double save from Kamaljit Singh, Javier Siverio attacked on Herrera’s low cross from the left wing. The youthful Spanish striker went sliding in front of Kamaljit and tapped the ball past him to double the host’s lead   and wrap up three points.

The palm lifts Hyderabad FC back over into first place, one point clear of Mumbai City, who don’t have a game this Matchweek. The defending titleholders will get a break during the coming Matchweek before visiting Bengaluru FC on December 23, Friday. East Bengal remain in eighth place, one point behind Chennaiyin FC. The Torch Liaisons will travel back home to host Mumbai City FC next on December 16, Friday.
