Colombian forward Luis Suarez is expected to join Almeria on a permanent deal. The former Marseille player only became a permanent member of the squad this past summer, and will now be returning to La Liga with Almeria.
The move will be a loan deal, with a buy option included worth €8 million. The option will become mandatory in the event that Almeria can stay up in La Liga this season.
Luis Suarez to join Almeria permanently on one condition
The deal has been agreed upon by all the parties and should be completed very soon. An official announcement regarding the transfer can be expected once all the details have been finalised.
This season, he has played seven times for Marseille in Ligue 1 and has scored three goals, while providing one assist. Like his Uruguayan namesake, he plays as a centre-forward and has featured in the Premier League and La Liga.
In England, he had a spell with Watford amidst spending time with Real Zaragoza, Real Valladolid’s B team and Gimnastic. He also featured for Granada, having played there at the youth level as well.
Almeria are currently 14th in the La Liga table with 16 points, and by the looks of things, Luis Suarez should be staying with them permanently in the summer.
