Further, the All-India Senior Selection Committee named fast bowler Kuldeep Sen and all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed as his replacements for Yash Dayal & Ravindra Jadeja in India’s tour of Bangladesh. The BCCI has further named Shahbaz Ahmed as his replacement in ODI after he had a breakthrough in 2022. It’s expected that Jadeja will be returning to the Test series. His replacement for the Test series hasn’t been named yet. Saurabh Kumar has a chance of being included in the squad. Saurabh has a remarkable aggregate of 58 wickets overall across 12 Ranji Trophy games from two completed seasons.

Jadeja’s right knee has been bothering him for some time, in fact, he missed the ODI series of India’s tour to the West Indies in July due to an ailment to the same joint. He has been receiving treatment at Bengaluru’s National Cricket Academy.

Jadeja finally made the ODI and Test teams for the trip to Bangladesh, but he won’t be playing the limited-overs matches, which are set for December 4, 7, and 10.

India’s squad: Rohit Sharma (capt), KL Rahul (vice-capt), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Shreyas Iyer, Rahul Tripathi, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Shahbaz Ahmed, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Deepak Chahar, Kuldeep Sen
