Recently, SpaceX made a sizable purchase of a Twitter advertising package. Elon Musk’s aerospace business will be using this advertisement to promote its Starlink brand of satellite internet service.

It’s interesting to note that Elon Musk recently purchased the well-known microblogging platform for a 44 billion US Dollar deal. Currently, the billionaire’s aircraft business is investing in a Twitter advertising campaign in Spain and Australia.

These substantial advertising packages were purchased to advertise the business’ Starlink satellite internet brand. The “takeover” ad campaign will reportedly be marketed on Twitter in the two locations.

SpaceX sizable Twitter advertising campaign details

A CNBC report claims that it will cost a staggering sum of at least 250,000 US Dollars to purchase one of these advertisement packages.

Additionally, SpaceX would give purchasers the option to place their brand name at the top of the primary Twitter timeline for an entire day. This information was provided by an anonymous current and former employee of Twitter. So from now on, Twitter users can anticipate seeing the Starlink brand ad for the first three times that they open the application on the day or even on days of the planned takeover campaign. Only Spain and Australia are still included in this, though.

For those who don’t know, Starlink is an internet service provider that offers connectivity via a constellation of satellites that beam internet down to paying subscribers. Because there isn’t enough cable or fibre optic infrastructure in remote areas, SpaceX created Starlink to provide high speed internet connectivity to those areas.
