In China, Vivo presented its new Internet service provider, the Vivo V2, at a conference named “Dual-Core X Imaging Technology.” Additionally, the business disclosed that it closely collaborated with MediaTek to develop future Vivo phones with Dimensity 9200, which will have enhanced AI and NPU capabilities as well as additional features.

After the success of the Vivo V1 and Vivo V1+, Vivo has released a third-generation ISP (Image Signal Processor). According to Vivo, this chip offers unmatched data, power, and processing density.

Vivo V2 ISP details

An official from Vivo stated that there is a unique SRAM (Static RAM) cache unit that, when compared to conventional DDRs with external memory design, can lower maximum power consumption by over 99% and the power efficiency ratio by 200%.

The Vivo V2’s architecture benefits from image processing and power efficiency thanks to the FIT dual-core connectivity and near-memory DLA designs. The imaging chip in vivo has always concentrated on snapping photos quickly in low light, and the ultra-clear image quality engine now has a special algorithm called Ultra Zoom EIS that combines IMU, OIS, and EIS for improved zooming without compromising image quality.

The Vivo V2 also offers “zero-latency” snapping, which should, in theory, utilize motion detection to capture the exact instant you press the shutter. Additionally, there is RawEnhance 2.0, which improves upon the original iteration of the image-stacking tool that creates high-quality photographs in dim light.

Along with what the Dimensity 9200 could provide to upcoming iQOO and X flagships, Vivo’s collaboration with Taiwanese chipmaker Mediatek was a hot subject. Thanks to the improved CPU-to-UFS processing transmission, all future phones will make app switching and background download even faster.

The adaptive visual quality feature in Honor of Kings was developed over twenty months by Vivo, Mediatek, and Tencent.

The game’s mean square error was reduced to 0.92, the best in the industry, after running at high settings for an hour in a controlled environment at 26 degrees Celsius and almost full frame.

Additionally, there is AI Airport mode, which can reduce power consumption by up to 30% while in Airplane Mode and restore connectivity in just 1.52 seconds after landing. Blue light should be reduced to less than 5% by the Dimensity 9200’s eye protection, which should be even more effective than non-Vivo phones.

The Vivo X90 series will be the first to use the Vivo V2 chip, and when it finally comes, the base Vivo X90 is anticipated to run on the Dimensity 9200 platform.
