T20 World Cup 2022: Teams that are a part of Super 12 Credits- The Hindu

The Super 12 for ICC T20 World Cup just got finalised. Eight teams had already fixed their position in the tournament and four teams were fighting with each other to get a place in the Super 12.

With the first-round fixtures ending this Thursday, the four qualifiers will be joining the teams like India, England, Pakistan, and New Zealand in the campaign.

The four teams that qualified for the Super 12 are Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Ireland and Zimbabwe.

Sri Lanka was the first team to qualify for the Super 12. They lost to Namibia in the first match by 55 runs. They defeated UAE by 79 runs in the second match and Netherlands by 16 runs.

Netherlands is the second team that made to the Super 12 in group A. They beat UAE by 3 wickets, and Namibia by 5 wickets but lost to Sri Lanka by 16 runs.

Ireland is the first team in Group B and is the third team to enter Super 12. The team lost to Zimbabwe by 31 runs but then defeated Scotland by 6 wickets and West Indies by 9 wickets.

Zimbabwe is the fourth and last team to make it to the T20 World Cup this year in Group B. They defeated Ireland by 31 runs and Scotland by 5 wickets. However, they got beaten by West Indies by 31 runs.

  • Sri Lanka
  • Ireland

Group B

  • India
  • South Africa
  • Pakistan
  • Bangladesh
  • Zimbabwe
  • Netherlands

Star Sports will be broadcasting the matches of the ICC T20 World Cup in India. Digitally, the matches will be live-streamed in DIsney+Hotstar where the fans have to buy subscriptions to enjoy the matches. India is set to clash with its arch-rivals Pakistan on October 23.
