The Mi Explorer version has a transparent glass back design. Other variants may not have a transparent back, but still the transparent back design has the best look so far. Xiaomi Mi 8 has 6.21 inch Super AMOLED display with a notch design. It is the first smartphone from Xiaomi that has a notch display. It has approximately 83.8% screen-to-body ratio which giver a better view. The pixel density is of 1080 x 2248 pixels (~402 ppi density).

Mi 8 comes with front & back glass design with vertically aligned dual camera and fingerprint setup at the back. At front it has the IR sensors, dot projectors, front camera. Moreover, the Explorer version has a transparent glass back which looks stunning in it.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 has a Dual primary camera setup of 12 MP (f/1.8, 1/2.55″, 1.4µm, 4-axis OIS, dual-pixel PDAF) + 12 MP (f/2.4, 1/3.4″, 1.0µm), 2x optical zoom, dual pixel phase detection auto-focus, dual-LED flash with AI features. The secondary camera is of 20 MP (f/2.0, 0.9µm).

1. Xiaomi Mi 8

Xiaomi Mi 8 comes with MIUI 9.5 but not with the latest MIUI 10, whereas the design is impressing and the curves at the edges are smoother than other variants. It has dual GPS system which gives more accurate location access according to the officials. The price of Mi 8 is 2699 Yuan, which means that this device will be priced around Rs.28000 in India, which is a bit high priced for a Mi device in the current competition. The camera of this device is more or less same compared to their previous mid-ranger models.

2. Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer

This variant of Xiaomi Mi 8 is the most interesting. This version comes with all the good things in one. This Mi 8 Explorer has a transparent glass back which allows seeing all the internals. The Qualcomm Snapdragon chip can be seen which adds on a beauty to the view. This variant comes with 8GB RAM and has no physical figure print sensor, it comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is priced at 3699 Yuan, which converts exactly into Rs.38598.93 and from this we can conclude that it will be priced around Rs.38500 in the Indian market.

3. Xiaomi Mi 8 SE

This variant carries the same SE in its name as Apple smartphones. With 1799 Yuan, Mi 8 SE is the budget oriented smartphone of the series. In Indian market this device will launch with the price around Rs.18500 to Rs.19500. This Mi 8 SE version has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710, the only smartphone with the Snapdragon 700 series within this price range, which is going to be something new from both Qualcomm and Xiaomi. Mi 8 SE comes with 64 GB ROM, 4/6 GB RAM and 3120mAh battery and the primary camera is of 12 MP + 5 MP.
