While Meta may have criticized iMessage as a strategy to get users to use WhatsApp more, Apple has come under fire from Google for failing to adopt the RCS standard for its messaging service. The image on Instagram also poked fun at iMessage by displaying the “Green Bubble” and “Blue Bubble” texts while attempting to increase the importance of WhatsApp by displaying the term “Private Bubble.” In case you are unaware, RCS messages provide end-to-end encryption.
