While Meta may have criticized iMessage as a strategy to get users to use WhatsApp more, Apple has come under fire from Google for failing to adopt the RCS standard for its messaging service. The image on Instagram also poked fun at iMessage by displaying the “Green Bubble” and “Blue Bubble” texts while attempting to increase the importance of WhatsApp by displaying the term “Private Bubble.” In case you are unaware, RCS messages provide end-to-end encryption.

Meta, on the other side, claimed that by limiting the number of advertisements that iPhone users may view, Apple is harming entrepreneurs and small business owners.

When accessing various URLs, the company gave iPhone customers the option to disable tracking in apps and websites. Only when sending messages to Android smartphone users through WhatsApp would iPhone owners most likely forego using iMessage.

The Google Play Store indicates that WhatsApp has been downloaded more than five billion times, making it without a doubt one of the most widely used messaging programs available. However, convincing iPhone users to abandon iMessage would be difficult.
