Diogo Dalot has been one of the standout players under Erik Ten Hag. And, he has attracted interest from Barcelona over a potential transfer.

The La Liga club sent scouts to watch him play for Portugal, and would be interested in trying to sign him. Although they currently have Sergi Roberto and Hector Bellerin in the team, they are trying to add more quality on the right side of the defense.

Diogo Dalot – What is his future at Manchester United?

The Portugal international has been very impactful since the start of the season. And this has helped him become the first-choice right-back under the new manager.

Diogo Dalot’s contract with Manchester United expires in 2023, but the club have an option to extend it until 2024. As of right now, they consider the defender a part of their plans and want to keep him for the future.

Negotiations over a new long-term contract are expected to start soon, since he is also keen on staying. Nothing advanced has been reached as of yet, and it remains to be seen whether the player can reach an agreement.

Manchester United are also expecting to keep his compatriot, Cristiano Ronaldo, until the end of the season. This is because there is little interest from elite clubs over his signature, and he could stay at Old Trafford as a result.
