Having already covered the teams that have spent the most, it’s time we look at the clubs with the most income this summer. Here are the top five clubs that made the most money through player sales over the transfer window.

5. AS Monaco – €117 million 

Monaco most prominently sold Aurelien Tchouameni to Real Madrid for €80 million, while Sofiane Diop joined Nice for €22 million. Jean-Eudes Aholou, Pietro Pellegri and Strahinja Pavlovic were the other tree permanent transfers out. 

4. Sporting CP – €119.8 million 

The Portuguese side let go of Matheus Nunes to Wolves, and also got the fee for Nuno Mendes’ permanent move to PSG. They also sold Joao Palhinha to Fulham, while Gonzalo Plata, Tabata, Andraz Sporar, Valentin Rosier and Pedro Mendes also left the club. 

3. Benfica – €127.3 million 

Darwin Nunez’s move to Liverpool was the most prominent move for the Portuguese club. Éverton, Roman Yaremchuk, Pedro Pereira, Carlos Vinícius, Gedson Fernandes and Jota were among the other departures. 

2. Man City – €159.9 million 

Manchester City is the surprise entry in the list of clubs with the most income this summer. But, they have done great business over the window. They sold Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gavin Bazunu to make one of the best revenues in Europe. 

1. Ajax – €216.2 million 

Ajax have solidified their reputation as a selling club. Their most expensive sale was that of Antony to Manchester United for €100 million, while Lisandro Martinez also made the same move. Sebastian Haller joined Borussia Dortmund, while Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui joined Bayern Munich.
