Ross Barkley has joined OGC Nice as a free agent following his exit from Chelsea. The player reached a mutual agreement with the West London side to terminate his contract. He was not included in Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the season, and as a result, left the club after a difficult spell with them.
The Englishman has been presented as a new player for the Ligue 1 club, and will be wearing the number 11 shirt for them over the course of the season.

The player joined Chelsea from Everton in 2018 on the back of an impressive spell at his boyhood club, Everton. He made 100 appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing 11 assists across a four and a half year spell.
The attacking midfielder has linked up with several former Premier League players, including Kasper Schmeichel, Nicolas Pepe, Aaron Ramsey and Marcin Bulka. Nice have not had the best start to the season so far, and will be hopeful of turning things around now that the squad has settled.
For Ross Barkley, this could be the start of a career revival since he is only 28 and still has a few good years left in him. With regular game time on the pitch, there is a chance we could see him get back to his form with Everton.
