The Chinese company Lenovo launched the flagship smartphone Legion Y70. This gaming device runs the Android 12 operating system with a proprietary user interface ZUI 14. Alongside the smartphone, the brand has also announced the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022 Android tablet. The Lenovo Legion Y70 is offered in Ice White, Titanium Grey, and Flame Red colors. The smartphone has a 6.67-inch Full HD + display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, support for HDR10 + and Dolby Vision. Design-wise, the smartphone has a boxy form factor and is made up of aviation-grade aluminum material and a CNC-craved metal middle frame. The peak brightness of this panel reaches 1000 Hz.
Legion Y70 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with eight processing cores operating at a clock frequency of up to 3.2 GHz. The chip functions in tandem with 8, 12 or 16 GB of RAM. The flash drive is designed to store 128/256/512 GB of information.
Legion Y70 has a rectangular camera island on the back panel. The setup comprises a 50MP main sensor with optical stabilization, 13MP secondary lens, and a 2MP third unit. There is a 16MP front-facing selfie camera.
‘Software-wise, the Lenovo Legion Y70 runs on Android 12 with ZUI 14 on the top. It has a 5100mAh battery with 68W fast charging and a highly efficient cooling system with a large evaporation chamber. The company promises 8.5 hours of gaming, 18 hours of video playback and 35 hours of music playback on a single charge.
The smartphone will go on sale on August 22nd in China. The device’s base variant i.e. 8GB + 128GB starts at Yuan 2,970 (~$437) whereas the 12GB + 256GB costs Yuan 3,370 (~$496). The top variant 16GB + 512GB is priced at Yuan 4,270 (~$629).
