Finally, today, Xiaomi launched its much anticipated Mi Notebook 14 laptop series in India and globally as well. Obviously, its flagship Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition remains the favourite option among enthusiasts, with an affordable price point, these laptops can really change the game in India.
The Mi Notebook 14 series boasts of an all-metal, clean and minimalistic design with no branding on the top and gives a premium feel to it even though being very light. The Horizon Edition has a great screen with a whopping 91 % screen-to-body ratio, which is just awesome!

The Mi Notebook 14, as we see in the specs is a more budget offering with larger bezels ut still no dedicated webcam, Xiaomi will be bundling an external HD webcam in the box. The keyboard looks great, with proper spacing and the aesthetics are much inspired or “copied” from a MacBook Air.
The laptop features a quad-core Intel Core i5-10210U processor with a boost clock speed up to 4.2GHz along with 8GB 2666MHz DDR4 RAM and 256GB / 512GB SATA 3 SSD options. For graphics, you can either choose between the Intel UHD Graphics 620 or NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics options.
The trackpad is quite decent with 110 * 57 mm area but sadly the keyboard is backlit and there’s no Wi-Fi 6 even though Comet Lake CPUs supports it. But you get a standard Dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi option along with a decent 46Wh Battery and features like Mi Blaze Unlock and Mi Smart Share are always welcome.
The Mi Notebook 14 will be available in three variants: the base variant with 8GB DDR4 RAM + 256GB SATA SSD costs Rs. 41,999, 8GB RAM + 512GB SATA SSD variant costs Rs. 44,999, and top-end variant with 8GB RAM, 512GB SATA SSD, + NVIDIA GeForce MX250 costs Rs. 47,999. The Horizon Edition of the Mi Notebook 14 is actually what you would rather opt for if you have a good budget. It features 14-inch FHD anti-glare display with 16:9 Horizon Display, 91% screen-to-body ratio along with 250 nits of peak brightness.
The laptop features a quad-core Intel Core i5-10210U processor with a boost clock speed up to 4.2GHz or a quad-core Intel Core i7-10510U processor with a boost clock speed up to 4.9GHz along with 8GB 2666MHz DDR4 RAM and 512GB PCI Express Gen 3 NVMe SSD storage.
For graphics, you get an NVIDIA GeForce MX350 graphics with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM, the only laptop to feature it in India. Other connectivity options remain the same and the Horizon Edition comes with a bonus USB Type-C option for the Core i7 variant only.
The Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition will be available in two variants: the base variant with 8GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB SSD and 10th gen Intel Core i5 at Rs. 54,999 and the 10th gen Intel Core i7 variant priced at Rs. 59,999.
