Adrien Rabiot’s transfer to Manchester United is in the works. The director of the club, John Murtough, and the player’s mother and agent, Veronique, had a meeting today to discuss the salary for the potential contract. An agreement is yet to be reached on personal terms, but the deal is progressing in the right direction.
Juventus are keen to offload the Frenchman, since they won’t be able to sell Arthur Melo. They have been able to let go of Aaron Ramsey, and want to reinforce their midfield further, with Leandro Paredes emerging as a potential target for them.

The player has had direct contact with Erik Ten Hag to discuss the move. If he makes the switch, he will reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo, who he played with at Juventus.
Frenkie De Jong was the top target for Manchester United in midfield, but they seem to have given up on the pursuit of the Dutchman given that he is unwilling to join the Red Devils.
Adrien Rabiot will be able to play as a left-sided midfielder, like Paul Pogba, who made the move to Turin. Rabiot’s role in the 4-2-3-1 remains to be seen, but he might be used in the positions that Fred and Scott McTominay currently operate in.
A transfer fee remains to be discussed with Juventus, with the market set to close in around a fortnight.
