Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Adam Aznou from Barcelona. The player will be joining their youth team on a contract until 2025, with the option for a professional deal also included.
The move has been made official and he will be playing for Die Amateure for the coming seasons. He was pursued by the likes of Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Benfica, RB Leipzig and Real Madrid but has snubbed all their offers to play for Die Roten.
Adam Aznou joins Bayern Munich from Barcelona
Bayern’s youth team sporting director, Holger Seitz, was excited about the new signing and here is what he had to say:
“Adam enjoyed an excellent education at La Masia at FC Barcelona. We are very happy to have won him for FC Bayern and to the fact that he wants to take his next steps on campus.
“Adam is a creative wing-back with a lot of attacking drive. He is quick, strong technically, and has good crosses. We are convinced that he will strengthen our youth teams and are convinced of his potential,” Seitz told FCBayern.com.
The 16-year-old has been signed as a long-term replacement for Alphonso Davies. Adam Aznou has a long way to go to break into the first team, but with one of the best teams in the world, he has a great chance at making it.
