Lenovo China’s General Manager for the smartphone division showcased the Razr 2022 in all its glory. As per the teasers of the smartphone that have surfaced on Weibo, the expected release date for Motorola’s latest foldable was sometime in July, however, it seems that the official launch is now postponed to a later date.
Motorola Razr 2022 launch date & specifications:
Tipster Digital Chat Station has claimed that the foldable smartphone is scheduled to launch at a later date. Though he does not mention the rationale behind the brand’s decision, he does hint that Moto will be pitting the Razr 2022 against the likes of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Oppo’s foldable device.
Oppo will be launching a foldable smartphone with a clamshell design and though we are not sure about the exact launch date of this device, it could launch sooner than we think. Coming to the Galaxy Z Flip4, it will be debuting on the 10th of August and will officially go on sale on the 26th of August.
The Lenovo-owned brand is looking to launch the Razr 2022 in August or mid-September. The clamshell devices from competitors Samsung and Oppo will likely retail somewhere around $739 or Rs,59,042 and $887 or Rs.70,867 respectively.
So far, we know the Moto Razr 2022 will arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 chip, a 6.7″ pOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. It could feature a 3″ cover display and be juiced by a 2,800mAh battery. It runs on Android 12 OS with MyUI on top.
In the optics department, we will get a 50MP+13MP setup on the rear, and on the front, there is a 32MP selfie shooter. Stay tuned for more updates on Moto’s flagship foldable device.
