Nottingham Forest have signed Jesse Lingard as a free agent, after he left Manchester United upon the expiry of his contract. The length of the contract has not been specified by the club. However, it is at least for the 22/23 season.

Jesse Lingard signs for Nottingham Forest
The midfielder spent 21 years with Manchester United, and decided not to renew his contract any further. He will be the 11th new signing for the newly promoted team, as they aim to make a mark in the Premier League for the first time since 1999.
Jesse Lingard will be wearing the number 10 shirt at his new club. He will be linking up with Dean Henderson at City Ground, who has also joined Nottingham Forest from Manchester United.
The 29-year-old spent an impressive loan spell at West Ham United during the latter half of the 20/21 season. As a result, it was believed that he would link up with David Moyes upon leaving United. However, he has accepted a more prominent role at Forest instead. He will now be attempting to make it to Gareth Southgate’s England team for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
