Real Madrid are set to part ways with Takefusa Kubo in the coming days. The youngster is set to join Real Sociedad once he completes the formalities for the transfer such as the medical assessment and the contract signing.

The Japanese attacking midfielder is set to be sold for €6 million, with Real Madrid retaining 50% of his rights. They were pushing for a loan deal, but Sociedad wanted him to commit for the long-term.

Takefusa Kubo to leave Real Madrid

Kubo was signed in 2019 by Real Madrid and has spent two seasons out on loan, but has not been able to break into the first team. Now, he will be playing in the Europa League with an attacking team like Sociedad, which could be perfect for his development.

The player will be signing a five-year contract with Real Sociedad until 2027. However, there is a chance that he could return to the Spanish capital since Madrid will be owning half of his rights.

Since Takefusa Kubo has been left out of the pre-season tour squad, it is expected that he will leave very soon. And he will be joined through the exit door by Reinier Jesus. The Brazilian has also failed to earn a place in the line-up, and will be looking to leave the club this summer. He has several options available to him and is yet to make his final decision.
