Netflix and Sennheiser, both these names are equally known to all of us. Both are masters of their own domains. There are approximately 221 million users of Netflix across the globe. To serve them better content audio, this streaming service provider partners with the audio giant Sennheiser. This duo is working to unlock the Spatial audio for the 221 million user base.
The Spatial Audio feature already started rolling out globally last Thursday. To try it out, users need to search “Spatial Audio” in the search bar. All the contents with this audio feature will appear in the search result.
A few popular contents that are available with Spatial Audio in India are Stranger Things, Locke & Key, Red Notice, and The Adam Project. Obviously, there are a few more at present and more on their way for sure.
“This magical combination of sight and sound will bring viewers closer to the story, and we’re excited to add this capability to other features we support like 4K, HDR, Dolby Atmos, and Netflix Calibrated Mode,” – a statement reads from the company.
No doubt, Netflix content with Spatial Audio will bring the theatre-like 3D audio experience to the user’s comfort zone. It will help Netflix to retain existing unstable subscribers and also, in customer acquisition.
