Apple M2 MacBook Pro: Its an M1 MacBook Pro but with M2

If the M2 MacBook Pro’s interior had been redesigned despite having a similar outside, it would have surprised many buyers, but regrettably, that is not the case. The cooling system, battery, and component arrangement were all visible when the device’s metal back cover was removed, which allowed NotebookCheck to publish an in-depth review of the M2 MacBook Pro. At first glance, adding the new M2 and improving unified RAM seems to be the sole difference—much like how Apple reused the same chassis.

Even the middle cable, which crosses a section of the battery, has remained unaltered. We found that the M2 MacBook Pro is equivalent to the M1 MacBook Pro by comparing it to a picture that was given by iFixit when they revealed their disassembly of the 2020 portable Mac. The cooling system and other components are unchanged when we compare the most recent image from NotebookCheck to the one that iFixit uploaded.

Even if we could have expected Apple to make some internal changes, we can understand why this tactic was employed.

To test a novel notebook design requires millions of dollars in R&D. Apple definitely used this money when it came time to mass-produce the M2 MacBook Air. The insides of the M2 MacBook Air will differ significantly from the M1 MacBook Air despite the fact that it hasn’t yet made its formal appearance.

Apple may have released the M2 MacBook Pro before the M2 MacBook Air because it already had the majority of the computer’s components. It may have encouraged suppliers not to create a significant supply of this small Mac because many customers are excitedly expecting the upgraded MacBook Air. Since NotebookCheck did not really disassemble the M2 MacBook Pro, it is likely that changes were made when various components were removed and examined.
