Neymar expected to leave PSG in 2022 as Al-Khelaifi delivers a shocking new message

PSG and Luis Campos could be looking to move Neymar on this transfer window. The Brazilian is happy at the club and is looking to stay, given that he has a long-term contract. But, the club has decided that he is no longer needed.

Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has decided that the move for the player was not the right one since he has failed to deliver the Champions League, and to perform in the big games as well. Hence, PSG are looking to cash in on the most expensive transfer of all-time and make back some of the €222 million they paid Barcelona.

Neymar could be offloaded this summer by PSG

PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi: "Neymar part of the new project or not? We can't speak about this in public as some players will arrive, some players will leave the club. These are private negotiations", tells @marca. ⚠️🇧🇷 #PSG pic.twitter.com/NPrN4L0aN0

— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) June 21, 2022

Al-Khelaifi was asked about Neymar being part of the project recently by Marca, to which he said: “If Neymar is part of the new PSG project? We cannot talk about these topics in the media. Some will come and others will leave, but these are private negotiations.”

The winger is no longer considered an integral part of the project since that role clearly belongs to Kylian Mbappe at PSG right now. As a result, PSG are looking to bring in a more clinical player who can perform consistently.

Neymar’s massive wages will be a problem even for the biggest teams in Europe. So, he will have to take a pay cut in case a transfer is agreed by PSG this summer.
