The Red team has recently announced that its Radeon PRO Software for Enterprise has now been revamped to AMD Software: PRO Edition and a new driver for Radeon PRO professional graphics is here.
With the new driver, professional users are expected to see quicker times for renderings and video encoding, smoother performance for 3D model interactions, streamlined ray tracing, and graphics-driven computations.
What does AMD Software: PRO Edition bring?
Key features of the new software include:
- Performance Increase: The latest driver contains important optimizations to improve performance with the Radeon PRO workstation graphics cards and graphics-intensive applications.
- Maxon Redshift Support: Maxon Redshift has added support for the AMD Radeon PRO W6800 graphics card. Now Redshift creators have more GPU options available to deliver production-quality renders in less time. Redshift’s Progressive rendering utilizes all 32GB of the Radeon PRO W6800 to help improve the frame buffer and allow real-time model manipulation.
Maxon Redshift is the world’s first fully GPU-accelerated biased renderer and has added support for the AMD Radeon™ PRO W6800 graphics card. So, it acts more as an AMD Smartshift which we have previously seen on AMD Advantage gaming laptops to utilize both the CPU and GPU in a better way.
Now, with Maxon Redshift, customers can benefit from the same technology with new AMD Radeon PRO GPUs and the PRO Edition software along with new performance improvements. Also, you will see the new software has striking similarities with AMD’s consumer Radeon Software, making it easier for you to use in the long run.
