Liverpool and Benfica have reached an agreement for the signing of Darwin Nunez, in a deal worth €100 million including bonuses.

Darwin Nunez has agreed personal terms for a move to Liverpool as well. There were rumours that he has been offered a salary worth €250,000 per week. However, the actual amount agreed is much lower than that figure. Moreover, according to Fabrizio Romano, the deal agreed includes several add-ons too.

The Benfica forward attracted interest from Manchester United in the Premier League as well. But, was holding out for a move to Jurgen Klopp’s team, and is now on his way there.

Liverpool submitted an offer worth €80 million plus €20 million in add-ons. As a result, Nunez is one of the most expensive signings in the history of the club.

Sadio Mane is expected to leave Liverpool this summer, with the Senegalese announcing his desire to move on after six years with the team. Bayern Munich are leading the race to sign him, and Nunez would be a direct replacement for him, due to his verstatility across the front three.
