Luka Modric contract renewal to be announced imminently
Despite being close to 37 years old, Luka Modric is still performing at the topmost level, and is among the best midfielders in the world. He was vital in Real Madrid’s successful domestic and European campaign, and will carry on for at least one more season.
The Croatia international will be expected to captain his nation to the winter World Cup in Qatar. And for that, he will need to have regular playing time. Despite his age, he is expected to make the starting line-up regularly, and as a result, make it to the national squad.
Modric’s new contract will run until June 2023, after the World Cup. The presentation will be held tomorrow at the Santiago Bernabeu, and the club’s president, Florentino Perez will be there as well.
