Build Quality
The Asus ROG Strix LC 240 RGB White Edition liquid cooler comes in a very well packaged box. From the moment you unbox it, you can feel the premium build quality of the liquid cooler.
It has a larger cold plate, made of copper, that covers the entire CPU package to ensure optimal thermal contact. Its sealed design also ensures that the cooler is immune to leaks​ and can keep your system cool efficiently. The AIO pump has a uniquely formulated rubber tubing compound that delivers industry leading durability and longevity.​
There is also an illuminated Addressable ROG Logo on the AIO pump, which needs to be connected to the motherboard via a USB cable, provided in the box. It can be controlled by Aura Sync support along with the ROG-designed radiator fans so that you can customise as you wish.
Performance
The ROG radiator fan is specifically tuned to deliver optimum performance with Asus ROG Strix LC White Edition​ series radiators, generating 81CFM/5.0mm H2O for superior cooling efficiency.
It is equipped with the latest cooling-plate design featuring micro-channels that provide more thermal dissipation area for processor heat. This innovative feature reduces thermal resistance for more efficient performance and cooler temps.
The Asus ROG Strix LC 240 RGB White Edition also has a precise 4-pin PWM pump control for both the pump and radiator fans. It delivers precise speed control for the perfect balance of performance and acoustics in every scenario.
For testing, we have paired the liquid cooler with the 12th gen Intel core-17 12700 processor. I have played numerous games for long hours but have never faced any issue with the thermals. The Asus ROG Strix LC 240 RGB White Edition can easily handle all the heat generated while using the CPU extensively.
When the CPU is idle or doing regular tasks, the temperature hovered around 30 degrees celsius and during gaming, the temperature was around 50-60 degrees. Sometimes while extensive use, the temperature rose a little but never crossed the 80-85 degree mark which indicates the efficient performance of the Asus ROG Strix LC 240 RGB White Edition liquid cooler. Another thing is that the liquid cooler functions almost silently and you won’t hear any noise most of the time.
Verdict
Asus ROG series is one of the best gaming PC components. However, some of you may not want to spend a large amount of money on AIO Liquid Cooler. So, if you want a ROG series Liquid Cooler but don’t want to spend a fortune, then the Asus ROG Strix LC 240 RGB White Edition is one of the best available options.
