Mumbai City FC have completed the signing of Alberto Noguera from FC Goa. They are all set to make the move official in the coming days.

Odisha FC and East Bengal were also in the race to sign the player, but he has chosen to sign for the Islanders. The Sky Blues are having a very impressive transfer window, and have added the Spanish midfielder among their ranks as well.

Alberto Noguera was one of six players to leave the Gaurs upon the expiry of their contracts – alongside Ivan Gonzalez, Alexander Romario Jesuraj, Dylan Fox, Airam Cabrera and Christy Davis.

The midfielder played for the Gaurs for two seasons after joining them in 2020. This past season, Goa finished ninth in the table and have announced Carlos Pena as their new head coach for the upcoming season.

Noguera played for Atletico Madrid and Blackpool in the past, and made 45 appearances for them over two years. He registered five goals and provided ten assists across all competitions, helping them win the Durand Cup as well.

Mumbai City FC have agreed the signing of David Williams from ATK Mohun Bagan, and Greg Stewart from Jamshedpur FC. They have also extended the contracts of Ahmed Jahouh and Mourtada Fall, which shapes up their squad quite impressively ahead of the new season. With the arrival of Noguera, there are strong chances of them returning to the top of Indian football once again.
