Napoli sign Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa on permanent transfer
“Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa will join Napoli this summer for an undisclosed fee after the club exercised their option to make his deal permanent,” Fulham confirmed on their official website.
“The midfielder played 30 times this season on loan in Naples, as they secured a third-place finish in Serie A. Anguissa departs Fulham with 66 appearances to his name, and we wish him luck in the future.”
The midfielder had a difficult time fitting in at Fulham, and failed to deliver consistently. But, the 26-year-old has been able to make things work with the Azzurri and has been rewarded with a long-term contract as a result.
Napoli have returned to the Champions League, after finishing third in Serie A this past season. They will be hoping to progress deep into the tournament next year, and potentially challenge for the league title as well. And the presence of a strong midfield will certainly help their ambitions next year.
