Divock Origi is expected to complete a free transfer to AC Milan in the coming weeks. The striker is out of a contract with Liverpool at the end of the season, and the club is aware that he will be leaving them.
Talks between the player and the Serie A side are in the closing stages, and the agreement only needs to be signed now. All that remains to be done is complete the medical tests and sign the contract to finalise the transfer.
Divock Origi to join AC Milan within the coming weeks
The Belgian striker joined the Merseysiders in 2014, and spent a couple of spells on loan at Wolfsburg and Lille before becoming a part of the first team. He is now set to end his eight-year spell with the Premier League by leaving them as a free agent for the Rossoneri.
The 27-year-old never made it as a regular in the starting line-up, but has earned the tag of a supersub during his time under Jurgen Klopp. Divock Origi has provided the club with some of their most memorable moments in recent history, with the Champions League comeback against Barcelona the most iconic of them all.
This season, Origi has made 18 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool and has scored six goals and provided four assists. He will now be moving to AC Milan in search of more regular first team opportunities.
