Tottenham are set to invest €80 million to complete the permanent signing of Serie A duo Cristian Romero and Dejan Kulusevski in the summer. The two have been signed on a loan deal with the option to buy, and it seems very likely that the moves will be finalised in a few weeks.
Spurs manager Antonio Conte is very happy with the two players, and they are expected to be the main part of the project for the coming years. So, finalising their transfer would be a big boost to the ambitions of the club for the near future too.
Tottenham working to make Romero and Kulusevski permanent members of squad
Kulusevski has been an extremely valuable addition to the front-line, and he has made himself a regular starter under Conte very quickly. The Swede has already scored three goals and provided right assists since making his debut in February.
Romero, too, has established himself as a key player in the back three fielded by the Italian. After earning the Serie A defender of the year award last season, he has shown what he is capable of in the Premier League as well. Next season, when he has fully adapted to Tottenham, he might emerge even better and more solid.
Tottenham are in the battle to secure Champions League football, and need only one more point to confirm their place in the top four next season.
