Huawei will be holding a launch event tomorrow where it will be launching the Mate Xs 2 and the Watch GT 3 Pro officially. In addition to these products, we will get to see more products launched from the brand as well. The official event will kick off at 2 PM CET tomorrow.
Huawei Mate Xs 2 specifications:
The Mate Xs 2 arrives with a design similar to its predecessor, it has an outward folding design. When it is folded, the display stays in its place due to a latch mechanism and when released, it opens halfway owing to the spring-loaded hinge.
The body of this device is made of aviation-grade titanium alloy, ultra-light fiberglass, and ultra-light and super-strong steel. The device is relatively light at 255g. When folded, the device has a screen measuring 6.5″ and when unfolded it has a screen measuring 7.8″. In terms of the display, it has an OLED panel with a resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels when expanded and a resolution of 2480 x 1176 pixels when folded.
The display has a 240Hz touch sampling rate, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and 424ppi pixel density. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 888 4G chipset with the Adreno 660 GPU on board. The device comes in an 8GB+256GB/512GB storage. The device has a provision for a nano microSD card slot.
The Mate Xs 2 runs on HarmonyOS 2 by default, it has an adaptive UI engine with a self-learning layout and optimization. The battery is a 4,600mAh one that comes with support for 66W fast charging support that can fuel the battery to 90% in just 30 minutes. The phone has a Graphene liquid cooling system integrated as well.
The device has a 50MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultrawide camera, an 8MP telephoto camera, OIS support, and 3x zoom. On the front, it has a 10.7MP ultrawide angle lens. In terms of pricing, the device arrives in Black, White, and Purple colors.
The device was priced at Yuan 9999, Yuan 11,499, and Yuan 12,999 for the 8GB+256GB, 8GB+512GB, and 12GB+512GB versions respectively in China.
Apart from the Mate Xs 2, Huawei will also launch the Watch GT 3 Pro which has a 1.6″ AMOLED display, tracking for over 100 sports modes, ECG as well as all health tracking features. Huawei can also launch the Mate Band7 and the MatePad SE tab at this event. You can watch the event here.
