Sharp, has launched two new smartphones today. The AQUOS R7 and the AQUOS Wish 2 devices. The latter is a budget smartphone that has been launched with the Snapdragon 695 chip and will be available in the Japanese market.
It is the successor to last year’s Aquos Wish 2 which launched in December 2021.

The AQUOS Wish 2 features a 5.7″ HD+ display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels, it has thick bezels around the screen, especially along with the bottom bezel.
The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chip that has been paired with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB UFS 2.1 internal storage. It also carries support for memory expansion to 1TB via a microSD card.
In the optics department, it has a 13MP sensor on the back panel along with an 8MP selfie shooter on the front.
It runs on Android OS with Sharp’s custom UI on top. It has a 3,370mAh battery juicing it with support for PD 3.0 fast charging. Sharp has added that it has taken a step to protect the environment by ensuring the Aquos Wish 2 is made out of recycled materials.
35% recycled plastic has been used to make the shell of the smartphone. The phone carries a waterproof and dustproof rating as well, it is available in White, Gray, Blue, and Coral. It will be available for purchase starting next month in Japan, however, there is no information on pricing. For more information, check out this link.
