Chelsea Women overcame a deficit twice in their game against Manchester United to earn their third consecutive Women’s Super League title. The Blues have become the first team in the WSL to win three consecutive league titles.
Sam Kerr was on target twice during the game, scoring two remarkable volleys during the game to win 4-2 against their rivals and secure the title.
‘I’m not known for my worldie goals but the thing that I’m known for is getting it done when it matters,’ said a jubilant Kerr. ‘The most important thing for me is scoring goals and making sure the team is at the top of the table when the season ends.’

Manchester United needed a win in their final game to have a chance at finishing third. But, the defeat at Kingsmeadow means that they have finished fourth, behind local rivals Manchester City.
Emma Hayes’ team endured a difficult challenge from Arsenal, who have missed out on the league title by only one point. But, Chelsea held on until the end and eventually defended the championship successfully for a second consecutive time.
‘I’m relieved it’s over, hallelujah,’ Hayes said. ‘This is by far and away the best one (title).
‘Arsenal have had an amazing season but I knew on that opening day of the season, okay, be happy with your win, but this is not where you win leagues,’ Hayes added.
