Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max last month in India as the first Redmi Note 9 lineup which then got another global variant known as Redmi Note 9S which is the global name of the Note 9 Pro. Now Redmi added another smartphone as the vanilla version Redmi Note 9 with MediaTek Helio G85 chipset as a totally new device in the lineup. Then the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is renamed as Redmi Note 9 Pro in the global version.
This is obviously confusing but it is the Xiaomi’s naming for you. Xiaomi focuses on naming the smartphones keeping in mind of the demands in different countries and thus maintaining such marketing strategy to deliver the products to different consumers with the respective names.
