Europa League 21/22 finalists confirmed: Who is going to Seville for the big game?

The finals of the 21/22 Europa League have been set, and it will see Rangers take on Eintracht Frankfurt for the trophy. The Scottish champions defeated RB Leipzig at home to overturn a 1-0 deficit in the first leg and secure their spot in the finals. 

On the other hand, Eintracht Frankfurt put in yet another eye-catching home performance to beat West Ham United by a narrow 1-0 margin and progress to the last match of the tournament.

John Lundstram scored an 80th minute winner for the home side to book their ticket to Seville. Only ten minutes after Christopher Nkunku was able to level things up with a goal in the 70th minute, Rangers pulled off a dream comeback to upset the travelling fans. 

Rangers will be playing the final of the Europa League for the first time since 2008. Moreover, James Tavernier is the top scorer in the competition with seven goals in the tournament this season.

Frankfurt’s sensational run in the Europa League continued with a 1-0 win against West Ham United at home. The Hammers were down to ten men with Aaron Creswell sent off in the 20th minute. Only six minutes later, Rafel Borre was able to get at the end of a cross and put his side ahead. 

The Bundesliga side will be competing in their first European final in 42 years as they aim to cap off a dream run in the Europa League by winning the trophy.
