Juventus have finally activated the purchase option in the contract of Federico Chiesa to make his transfer permanent. The winger has now been signed on a contract until 2025 with the Bianconeri.
The transfer fee paid for the player is around €40 million, with €10 million available in add-ons. Fiorentina have already received another €10 million for the transfer, taking the total value of the move to €60 million.
Federico Chiesa to be the star of Juventus project
Alongside former Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, Federico Chiesa is set to be one of the stars of the team in the coming years. He is currently sidelined due to a serious injury that he sustained in the Serie A game against Roma. With his ACL ruptured, he will return to the first team when the new season begins.
And once he is back, he will be one of the players around whom the project is built. Prior to his season being ended, he made 18 appearances for the team, scoring four goals and providing as many assists. The winger had a remarkable summer, emerging as one of the key figures in Italy’s Euro 2020 win.
The 24-year-old has earned 37 caps for the Azzurri, and will be one of their top players in the coming years with the form that he has been showing for club and country.
