Former Ligue 1 champions Lille are prepared to sell some of their players this summer. Their striker, Jonathan David, tops the list of players that have attracted interest from big clubs in Europe.
The Canadian has been in fine form this season, and is the club’s top scorer across all competitions. He has scored 13 in Ligue 1 and 3 in the Champions League, with a total of 17 goals in 44 games including the domestic cup.
Jonathan David price tag set at €50 million
Clubs like Arsenal and Newcastle United are in the race for the 22-year-old this summer, with Lille open to selling him. However, Jonathan David has remained respectful towards Lille and has said that he will discuss his future at the end of the season.
“My mind is not elsewhere as some say. I have ambition, I want to improve, but I’m still here. At the end of the season I will rest and maybe there will be talks with the club. My agent will take care of it. We’ll see how it goes.”
Other players from the squad such as Renato Sanches and Sven Botman have also been linked with a move away. Botman has huge chances to join AC Milan at the end of the season, with the Rossoneri pushing for a move. Sanches, on the other hand, is attracting several suitors in the Premier League and could make the switch if an appropriate bid arrives.
