The Portuguese right back faced ups and downs at the club, now it is reported that he is willing to listen to offers to leave the club this summer. He has even called a halt to talks over a new contract.
Mundo Deportivo has reported that the Portugal international is open to leaving Barcelona and the club is said not to be ruling out a summer exit.
Semedo’s current contract expires in 2022 which makes the fact clear that he has to renew his contract this summer. We also heard rumours of him being swapped by Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo this summer, which cannot be ruled out at all.
Even thoigh full-back is said to be quite happy at Barcelona under the new coach, but can’t quite shake the suspicion that the Balugranas would sell him if a good offer received.
His contract situation suggests that either Barcelona will insist him to sign a new deal in the summer transfer window or will be sold if a deal can’t be reached, the chances of his exit seems the most except if Setien insists the board to keep him somehow.
