We are nearing the end of the 21/22 season in Europe’s top 5 leagues. And so far, we have seen some standout performances from the best attackers in the world. In this article, we take a look at the top 5 players with the most goals and assists in the big five leagues.

Christopher Nkunku has been in sensational form this season. The RB Leipzig midfielder has forced Didier Deschamps to include him in the France squad following his performances in the Bundesliga. He has scored 16 goals and provided 11 assists in the league so far.

4. Kylian Mbappe – 30 G+A 

Kylian Mbappe continues to prove himself as one of the best in the world, with 17 goals and 13 assists in Ligue 1. The 23-year-old has been consistently rumoured to leave PSG at the end of the season, and join Real Madrid when his deal expires. 

3. Mohamed Salah – 30 G+A 

Mohamed Salah is by far the player of the season in the Premier League this year. The Egyptian makes a strong claim to be one of the best in Europe’s top five leagues as well. He has scored 20 goals and provided 10 assists, and leads the race for the Golden Boot. 

2. Robert Lewandowski – 32 G+A

Robert Lewandowski matched yet another Gerd Muller record, scoring 30+ goals in five Bundesliga seasons. The Polish forward has scored the most goals in Europe’s top five leagues so far, with 31 goals to his name. 

1. Karim Benzema – 35 G+A 

At 34, Karim Benzema is the main attacking output for Real Madrid. And for many, he is the undisputed best number 9 in the world following his performances for Los Blancos this term. The Frenchman has scored 24 goals and provided 11 assists in La Liga this term, and is in pole position to guide the team to a 35th La Liga title.
