Here's what Xiaomi India has to say on MiFit Rebranding_TechnoSports.co.in

The official MiFit application was renamed Zepp Life on both Google PlayStore and Apple Store last week. For people like us and also for the users, it was the indication towards MiFit’s acquisition by Zepp. We shared the same with you.

Xiaomi India told us that their two health and fitness applications, Xiaomi Health and Xiaomi Wear/Xiaomi Wear Lite have consolidated to release the nee Mi Fitness application or MiFit.

Xiaomi India confirms their support to its own brand, Huami’s decision to rebrand MiFit as Zepp Life. The new application will be operated by Huami itself and will continue to support compatible Xiaomi devices along with Amazfit and Zepp hardwares.

The Statement from Xiaomi India is given below

“As a market leader in the wearables segment, Xiaomi has millions of users around the world. To continuously improve our product and user experiences for our fans, Xiaomi will consolidate two of its health and fitness apps – “Xiaomi Health” and “Xiaomi Wear/Xiaomi Wear Lite” and release the all-new “Mi Fitness” app, starting in early March 2022. The new app will come with upgraded features to encompass health, fitness, and wellness for all Xiaomi wearable users.”

“Meanwhile, as a brand that always encourages its ecosystem partners to grow their own brand, Xiaomi will support Huami’s decision to rebrand “Mi Fit” app as “Zepp Life”. While this app will continue to be operated by the Huami brand, rest assured that it will continue to support compatible Xiaomi devices, including Mi Smart Band Series and Mi Smart Scales. Xiaomi will continue to work with Huami in terms of product development, chipset design, algorithm optimization and more, and ensuring the best wearable product experience for all Xiaomi Fans.”
