Smartron has launched its second electric bike, the bike OneX in India. The tbike OneX is a good addition to the ride-sharing market and the delivery market in India.
As per Smartron’s founder, Mahesh Lingareddy, the new e-bike has received a lot of accolades on the international diaspora and the basic segment of this e-bike could expand to accommodate the day-to-day use of riders along with other innovative applications as well.
The tbike OneX has a multipurpose design and can double up as a multi-utility e-bike that focuses primarily on ridesharing and logistics delivery markets. Smartron has been expanding its operations delivering the tbikes to places in Africa, North America, South America, Asia, and Europe.
Smartron is an Indian company, it is promoting domestic production by completely undertaking the design and engineering process in India. This approach has led the company to eliminate the challenges posed by supply chain logistics.
The tbike OneX has the tronx platform which operates in combination with the bike mobile app and tlock, offering a range of customized fleet and rider management opportunities. It can be integrated into existing systems for ridesharing and delivery services.
The system also offers real-time monitoring and remote diagnostics of the fleet within a system. Some additional features are asset utilization, battery status update, location, remote lock/unlock, and geofencing.
OneX will be the first multipurpose e-bike that will cater to the B2B or business-to-business segment. It will come with a lifetime warranty for the frame, magnesium alloy wheels, tires that are puncture-proof, and a top speed of 25KMPH. It has a riding range beyond 100KM.
Battery swapping and onboard charging features are available with the tbike OneX. The bike is priced at 38,000 INR minus GST. The company has not yet revealed any details about the global availability or pricing of the bike.
