Barcelona have signed talented youngster Pablo Torre from Racing Santander on a permanent deal. He will be spending the remainder of the season with Racing and will join Barcelona’s B team in the summer.
The player has signed a contract with Barcelona until June 2026, and also attracted interest from Real Madrid. The Blaugrana have paid €5 million for the transfer, and have a release clause worth €100 million included in his deal.
Pablo Torre signs until June 2026
“FC Barcelona and Racing de Santander have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Pablo Torre. The agreement amounts to 5 million fixed euros plus variables depending on the footballer’s development in the coming years, which may exceed 20 million,” Barcelona’s official site read.
“Pablo Torre, who will finish the season at his current club, will sign a contract until June 30, 2026, with a termination clause of 100 million euros, and will join Barça B starting next summer.”
The board is convinced that the 18-year-old could become the next Pedri, with his immense potential. But for the foreseeable future, he will be developing with other fellow youngsters in the youth team. That said, there is a very good chance he might get numerous chances in the first team as well.
Barcelona are planning an impressive summer transfer window, with the likes of Erling Haaland, Franck Kessie, Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen all linked with a move to Catalonia. If these transfers go through, we will be seeing the Blaugrana become an unstoppable force in Europe once again.
